My FCA story: Before joining FCA, I served the Lord in the field of education for 18 years and answered the call to full-time ministry in 2007. I currently oversee 25 Huddles, three weekly coaches’ studies and work with coaches, students and community leaders to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to a hungry community. Since 2007, Kern County FCA has seen more than 1,000 people come to a relationship with Jesus Christ and distributed more than 24,000 Bibles to coaches and athletes.

Most challenging aspect: Time management. There’s so much I want to do, and it’s sometimes hard to prioritize every-thing and find time to do it all.

Recent ministry highlight: In May, I was blessed to be part of an incredible series of football team camps at Hume Lake—four consecutive weekends of amazing stories, friendships and lives transformed. Kern County FCA is so grateful to Hume Lake Team Sports Camps and the army of volunteers who impacted California’s Central Valley and beyond for Christ. Overall, we had 28 teams, 1,357 athletes and coaches, 202 new believers in Jesus Christ, 144 re-dedications and 912 Bibles distributed.

What I love about FCA: My Nor-Cal staff teammates and the fact that we get to present the truth of Jesus Christ to athletes and coaches in our area.

3 Prayer Requests:

1. Full funding for new staff.

2. Protection and growth of the ministry.

3. Wisdom and discernment in serving the athletes and coaches of Kern County.
