FCA Statement on The Events in Minneapolis

Published on June 05, 2020

FCA

We as an FCA family are grieved by the events dividing our country, first in the injustice in Minneapolis and now in the unrest in cities across the nation. The entire tragic situation remains in our prayers that Christ will bring peace to every heart and neighborhood. In recent weeks, it has become more evident that a disregard for human life — precious life created by God — demonstrates the sin that separates us from Him. May all of us, at FCA and around the nation, be in prayer and search for the ways God has equipped us to use sport as a vehicle to unify people around the world as coaches and athletes grow in relationship with Christ.

Today, we keep Ephesians 3:14-16 at heart: 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.'
