God's Bigger Plan: 10 years!

Published on September 17, 2018

God continues to move in some of the toughest areas of the world. He is raising up men and women who have a passion to see their countries transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA engages, equips and empowers them so that disciples can make more disciples. The impact is spreading; FCA is now serving in 84 countries with 242 leaders who have a desire to reach every coach, every athlete, every sport and every community.

Robert* is a leader who understands the influence of sports in his country. His vision has grown to reach every part of his country, so he began to invest in sport ministry leaders who would multiply ministry. This year marks his ten-year celebration of doing sports ministry and 600 people attended his celebration banquet. At Robert’s five-year banquet, he had 50 people attend!

Robert says, “In 2008, we launched our big plan of connecting with the community youth through an evening soccer program. We felt God calling us to connect with these youth, to get to know them and share the Gospel.

Fast forward ten years later, and our big plan has been replaced by God’s bigger plan. The Sunday evening community soccer program has spread to 12 states across our country.”

Developing key leaders in each state has been a key to success. Robert adds, “Our team of coaches and trainers have crossed land and sea to train many leaders within East Asia. These pioneering souls have gone to places where people still live on tree tops, entered cities with armed guards, drove across treacherous terrain to unreached people groups and more.”

Join with us as we give God glory for these ten glorious years of Robert and his team’s faithfulness! Our passion is to raise up leaders around the world like Robert to lead coach and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
