It’s the matchup basketball fans have been waiting for: Golden State versus Cleveland in the NBA Finals for the third consecutive season. With the teams splitting the past two matchups, each will be looking to claim their second title in the past three seasons.

Regardless of the outcome, both Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Cleveland’s Kyle Korver will be using the biggest stage in basketball to share their faith in God, the One who blessed them with their abilities on the hardwood.

Read below to learn more about each of their careers and their recent appearances in FCA Magazine.

USATSI_9048196Considered by many to be the greatest shooter to ever play the game, Stephen Curry has been vocal about his faith being “his driving force” since he became a household name during his 2014-15 MVP season in which he led the Warriors to their first NBA title since 1975.

His 2015-16 season was one for the record books as he became the first player in NBA history to be named the MVP by a unanimous vote after helping Golden State win the most games in regular season history.

It was also during the 2015-16 season that Curry appeared on the cover of the May/June 2016 issue of FCA Magazine. In the article “The Revolution,” Curry reflected upon how his faith keeps him grounded.

“I stay grounded knowing that my faith is the most consistent part of my life and knowing where my talents come from,” he said. “I know why I'm in the league, and why I've been given the platform that I've been given: to shine [Christ’s] light out there on the floor, hopefully inspire people.”

Playing for his fifth team in his 16th season in the league, the three-point sharpshooter who recently became just the seventh player in NBA history to record 2,000 career three-pointers, will finally get to take aim on winning his first title.

It was during his 2014-15 All-Star season with the Atlanta Hawks that the Creighton alum appeared on the cover of the January/February 2015 issue of FCA Magazine. In the piece titled “On Target,” Korver explained how he’s grateful for the abilities he’s been blessed with and that he wants to honor God with them.

“I don't know exactly what [God’s] plans are for my life,” he said. “And I don't know why He’s given me the opportunities He has, but I’m grateful for them. I'm going to do my best to honor Him with everything that comes from them.”
