New Year, Same You?

Published on January 28, 2016

FCASymbol-Colr (002)It’s a new year, but the new you looks a lot like the same person who stared back at you in the mirror in 2015.

Were you one of the millions to make a resolution or two for 2016? Maybe to dedicate more time in the gym? Eat better? Get out of your comfort zone? Or just become more intentional with your life?

And maybe you started strong, but somehow the month of January has unraveled your determination and you find your self-discipline fading. This tumbles into panic as you focus on the failure instead of the attempt.

Resolutions at times can be another layered version of keeping to the law of religion rather than expanding into the freedom of grace. Thank God He never intended your salvation to depend on how well you kept to your goals!

As the year settles into its revolution around the sun, cultivate a life steeped in soul investment. The closer you come in relationship to God, the larger the investment, not only in your own heart, but in the interactions with others.

Starting now, fuse together hard work and hope, to not only strengthen your well-being, but cementing your steps on the road that leads to Jesus.

You’ve made a now and always resolution to put faith first. To invest in your heart and soul, FCA has a few low-pressure ways to help you along this transformational journey.
