FCA's Todd Dickerson, left, with Lomax |
The ProMax Quarterback Shootout has been a wonderful blessing for FCA in both the Oregon and Southwest Washington. Area staff have enjoyed working with Neil Lomax and seeing God use him to further the Kingdom.
“Neil is one of the most amazing people I know,” said Todd Dickerson, who serves as the Greater Portland FCA Area Director. “His company, ProMax, exists almost primarily to support FCA, Young Life and local sports teams.”
Added Northwest Regional Director Joe Broeker, “Neil’s company and family have been a wonderful gift to the Pacific Northwest and the state of Oregon. It has been a great relationship. Neil has such a heart for ministry.”
The funds from the Shootout have helped serve the ministry of FCA in many ways. Not only are more kids able to attend camp through scholarships, but also there has been an increase in ministry dollars to help sponsor events and to purchase Bibles for Huddle members.
According to Broeker, the impact this revenue has had on FCA’s ministryin the Oregon area “goes beyond scholarshiping kids to attend camp. Ithelps coaches, regional events and area events, and sometimes it leads to growthand the support of new staff positions. Without the Shootout, the FCA ministrywould not have grown in Oregon like it has.”
