Fellowship of Christian Athletes - The movie camera has become a very important part of modern day athletics. Most coaches have made use of it as a teaching tool as well as a means of improving some of the techniques. Coaches spend a lot of time looking at film, because they feel this is the best means of evaluating players. The reason for that? The movie camera never lies.
The "Eye in the Sky" has no reverence for one player over another. All players are alike to the eye of the camera. Players always are excited to see the films when they won or played a great game, but are a little hesitant when they lost.
We must be aware that there is another game called the GAME OF LIFE, and it is all caught on tape. How anxious are we to see the replay of this game?
We must be aware that God never misses a thing. He sees our every move. He knows our every thought. If you think you're playing games with God, forget it. What we sow here we will reap up there. You cannot sow wild oats here and reap golden grain up there!
The Bible tells us about all this. Does the Bible cover up the shortcomings of the heroes? How about King David? He was a king, a ruler. The bloodline from Abraham to Christ was in his veins. He was a man chosen by God and blessed by God. Yet he committed adultery and murder. He lied and cheated. The Bible did not cover up his shortcomings.
It should be a great inspiration for us to know God loves us enough to watch over us, take care of us and know all there is to know about us. The hairs of our head are numbered. When the sparrow falls, He knows about this too. Rest assured that God is watching us play life's game everyday. He loves us and wants us to please Him in our lifestyle, in our successes, even in our motives.
You play for God with your lifestyle everyday. Be sure you play well, giving your best. Remember the "eye in the sky." God is observing you on every play.
