International Sports Ministry Internship
Bobbio Pellice, Italy – and across Europe

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, in partnership with Operation Mobilization, has established an international sports ministry internship in Europe. This 5 week experience is designed to send the next generation of sports leaders to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Life-changing Impact 2013 Europe will offer college athletes an unique international sports ministry experience.
Must be a college athlete who:
- is open to exploring the possibility of serving on international or FCA staff when they graduate
- has two years of college (preferred)
- has a sports background
- has prior FCA experience or other sports ministry experience (considered a plus)
Interns will gain a global perspective of international sports ministry while developing character and leadership skills in this cross-cultural learning environment which combines classroom teaching with hands-on training and outreach.
Interns will stay in northwestern Italy at Forterocca in Bobbio Pellice (TO) for the first week of the internship. Training will incorporate classroom teaching as well as team and individual challenges. Interns will receive training from experienced sports missionaries and teachers. Topics to be covered include: Biblical Basis for Sports Ministry, Cultural Sensitivity, Evangelism, Sports Ministry Models and Teambuilding. Following the initial week of training interns will be teamed up and sent to different countries throughout Europe to help host sports camps and clinics. After that the interns return to Bobbio Pellice for a time of debriefing and fellowship before returning to their home country.

Towards the end of June interns will be teamed up and sent to different countries* throughout Europe to help host sports camps and clinics. After that the Interns will be part of the European Sports Leadership School where they will receive more training together with athletes and coaches from across Europe.

- June 23rd – Flight to Europe
- June 24-28 – Teambuilding and Training
- June 29th – Travel Day
- June 30-July 6 – Sports Camp / Outreach 1
- July 7-13 – Sports Camp / Outreach 2
- July 14-20 – Sports Camp / Outreach 3
- July 21st – Travel Day
- July 22-24 – Debrief and Fellowship
- July 25th – Flight back home
Criteria
This internship is for college athletes who have a desire to experience international sports ministry and an openness to serving in sports ministry in the future. Two years of college is preferred. Prior FCA experience or other Sports Ministry experience is a plus.
Cost
The cost is $2225 plus airfare. Interns must commit to raising the full amount which will cover travel within Europe, housing and food. All funds will be submitted to OM.

- FCA will review all applications by March 15, 2013. If accepted, your spot will be reserved. There are 25 spots for US applicants.
- May 10th – $2225 due to OM USA.
