The Fellowship of Christian Athletes offers an international sports ministry internship in Europe through collaboration with SRS - a member of the European Christian Sports Union. This ten-week experience is designed to send the next generation of sports leaders to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Impact Europe 2016 will offer college athletes and those who live in the world of sport a unique international sports ministry experience.

Must be a student athlete who:
- has a sports background
- has spent two years in college (preferred)
- is willing to explore the possibility of serving in a sports ministry context
- has prior FCA or other sports ministry experience (considered a plus)
Interns will gain a global perspective of international sports ministry while developing character and leadership skills in this cross-cultural learning environment.
The internship begins and ends in Bobbio Pellice located in northwestern Italy. Training incorporates classroom teaching as well as team and individual challenges. Experienced sports missionaries and teachers will instruct interns in a Biblical Basis for Sports Ministry, Cultural Sensitivity, Evangelism, Sports Ministry Models and Teambuilding.
Following the initial teambuilding and training, interns will travel to different countries throughout Europe to work within local communities and host sports camps and clinics. The internship ends with a time of debriefing and fellowship back in Bobbio Pellice.

Overview Itinerary (subject to change)
- June 2 – Flight to Europe
- June 3-9 – Italy, Orientation, Teambuilding and Training days
- June 10 –18 – Germany, Training days, then working with athletes and coaches
- June 19- July 2 – Malta, Training days, then sport camps and academies
- July 3-16 – Romania, sport camp or working in a marginalized community
- July 18 – 23 – Italy, youth sport camp
- July 24- August 3 – Debrief and fellowship
- August 4 – Flight back home
This internship is for college athletes and others who have a desire to experience international sports ministry and are open to serving in sports ministry in the future. Two years of college is preferred. Prior FCA or other sports ministry experience is a plus.
Cost for Impact Europe: $3,000 (not included: airfare to/from USA)
Goal 1) Interns must commit to raise the full amount of $3,000, which covers travel within Europe, housing, and food.
Goal 2) Every intern is required to raise adequate funds to cover roundtrip airfare to Italy.
Goal 3) Optional; Interns that raise additional funds will have the option after attending Impact to receive an honorarium or contribute towards the support of another intern, ministry, and/or project they encounter during the Impact experience.
All funds will be submitted to FCA. Each Impact intern receives instructional resources that trains on how to raise funds.
