Name: Kennedi
School: Hamilton High School
Sport: Track
Year: Sophomore

FCA: How did you hear about camp?

Kennedi: My brother was a camper here for four years. It stretched and grew him and made him improve as a person and in his sport, so I thought I’d try it out with track.

FCA: What are you looking forward to?

Kennedi: Improving my track skills and improving my relationship with God.

***

Name: Denyce
School: Sunny Hills High School
Sport: Track
Year: Sophomore

FCA: How did you hear about camp?

Denyce: My middle school teacher.

FCA: How do you want to grow this week?

Denyce: Through the programs and people, I want to have a closer relationship with God and find people to help with my journey.

Ben

Name: Ben Mulder
Position: Staff (Inland Region Area Director)
Camp Experience: 12 years

FCA: What’s been a highlight for you?

Ben: Reuniting with staff. We only see each other twice a year at retreats and meetings. And I’ve been at this long enough where I see little kids come through as campers and become Huddle leaders, then become grown-ups. It’s always good to see their evolution.

FCA: How has God shown up this week?

Ben: Last night in the line where we greeted the kids who accepted Christ, a girl came up and grabbed me. She looked me in the eyes and said, “Thank you. I’m here because of you.”

FCA: What can kids take away when they go back home?

Ben: They are in a new relationship. This is a long term thing—they’re going to grow the rest of their life.
